BUFFALO, SC: The greatest Daddy, son, brother and friend, Gary Waymon Griffin, 71, went to be with Jesus, July 20, 2024. Born July 7, 1953, to the late Robert Branton and Betty Juanita Griffin. Gary was a 1972 graduate of Northwest High School in Clarksville, TN, and a dedicated Spartan Foods employee for 16 years before serving over 22 years as a FedEx employee, retiring at 59 so he could enjoy life. Gary was an avid hunter and outdoorsman; his hunting buddies were like family and he loved them dearly. He spent his mornings drinking coffee at his home away from home, Waffle House. Gary was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who he adored and loved spending time with, he had a heart of gold, never met a stranger and never let anyone go in need. He is survived by his daughter, Leah Marie Griffin " Baby Girl"; son, J.R. Griffin and wife Melissa; granddaughter, Sarah Laureli; brothers, Steve and wife Rita, Alan, Mark and wife Susan; favorite sister, Angel Ruth; #1 Auntie, Wilma Waye, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Hope Point Church in the multipurpose room. The family appreciates your patience and understanding in their time of loss.
