George David Obituary
Herschel was a proud and loving "Pop" to all his grandchildren. While our hearts will miss him, we are at peace knowing his is reunited with "Queenie", in Heaven.
He is survived by his daughter, Collette D. Vaccarella and her husband, Joseph of Franklin; sons, Drew David and his wife, Rachael of Abbeville, Lance David and his wife, Danielle of Abbeville, and Brooks David and his wife, Hope of Maurice; grandchildren, Cecily Steiner (Christian), Jack Vaccarella, Ryan David (Whitney), Jacob David (Caroline), Sarah David, Anna Grace David, Aaron David (Halie), Caroline Broussard (Drake), Grant David, Cooper David, and Tucker David; and great grandchildren, Parker David, Charleigh-Kate David, Remi Broussard, Tanner Broussard, Thomas David, Sawyer Steiner, and Emma Steiner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia "Queenie" Faulk David; parents, Villery David and the former Emma Israel; sisters, Mary Theriot and Kathleen "Kat" LeMaire; and brother, Joseph "Chester" David.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM when the procession will depart for the church.
The family would like to thank their family and friends for all their prayers and support throughout this journey. Special thanks to Dr. Roland Degeyter of Franklin, LA. for all the years of care, and the staff/nurses at Bayou Bend Health System for their care and support.
