George William Hogan, born on December 2, 1943, in Montgomery County, NC, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at the Atrium Hospital in Lexington, at the age of 81.

George dedicated much of his life to the lumber industry as a hardworking truck driver. His steadfast work ethic and dedication were well-known among his peers.

Beyond his professional life, George cherished time spent with his family, finding great joy in their company. He is remembered by those who knew him as a loving father, devoted husband, and caring friend. He enjoyed fishing and especially mowing- often times mowing for friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Sarah Johnson Hogan, son Danny William Hogan, sister Maggie Baldwin and brother, Tim Hogan. He is survived by his daughters, Imogene Wood, and her husband, Mark, of Todd, NC, Lisa Mahala and husband Randall of Fleetwood and Ruby dziamski and spouse of South Carolina; sons, James Lee Hogan and wife Crystal of Fleetwood and David Woodring of Boone who will carry forward his legacy of love and integrity. He is also missed by his special friends Brenda Faye Hogan and Mike.

The family will hold a service of remembrance at a later date to honor George's memory and celebrate his life privately.

George's warmth and kindness will be missed, but his spirit will endure in the hearts of those who loved him. Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service in Asheboro is honored to assist the family of Mr. George Hogan through this difficult time.
