George E. Lone, age 89, peacefully passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025. He was born February 11, 1936, in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania to Stanley and Dorothy (nee Priestly) Lone. He and Sally owned many successful businesses through the years, from a full-service garage to a carry-out grocery store. He could fix anything and was a true handyman. He enjoyed watching westerns and will be missed by all who knew him.
Left to celebrate George's life is his beloved wife of 60 years, Sally (nee Chidsey), his loving children, Gerri (Chris) Talevich and Brian (Lisa) Lone; his cherished grandchildren, Leah Talevich, Garrett and Kerri Lone; his adorable great-grandson, Ezekiel Talevich; and many extended family and friends. The family would like to express a Special Thanks to Arden Courts and Suncrest Hospice for the loving care and comfort given to George during this most difficult time.
The family will welcome friends from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home located at 3300 Center Road in Brunswick. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 6, 2025, the funeral home with interment to follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in George's honor to Suncrest Hospice, 6500 Rockside Rd, Suite #310, Independence, OH 44131.
