George, age 66, of Albany, Louisiana, went to his heavenly home on March 1, 2024. He was born in Mobile, Alabama to Vincent and Dorothy Muscat and he loved to tell people that he was "number 8 of ten" siblings. George was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He taught work ethic, gave life advice and helped many to figure out the "the right thing". He enjoyed gardening and "tinkering" outside with his pond and fish. George loved to host and have his loved ones over for the delicious food he made with love. He would do anything for anyone. George was known as a fixer and took care of the people he loved; if he loved you, he made sure you knew it. He was known by friends as "Big George"; but he was never too big to roll up his sleeves to help anyone. He cherished all his loved ones, but the ones that honored him with the name of "Paw Paw" held his heart. George was a silent force of nature whose memory will live on in all those that loved and adored him.
George is survived by his loving wife of 9 beautiful years, Diane Muscat; daughter, Stefani Muscat; son, George "Greg" Muscat; step-sons, Vincent Amato (Tonya), Darrel Amato (Cynthia), Jeremiah Amato, and Adam Amato (Cherie); sisters, Dorothy "Dottie" Clements (Bobby), Theresa "Terri" Tomlinson (Joe); Carmel Hill (Chip), Angela "Angie" Janes (Steve), Joni Noletto (Van), and Dolores Williams (Wayne); brothers, Vincent Muscat (Sharry), David Muscat (Lynn), and Robert Muscat; and grandchildren, Gavin, Jace, Nathan (Shanna), Cayden, Paisley, and Summer; and great-granddaughter, Abigail.
George is preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Dorothy Muscat; and his first wife, Susan Bradford Muscat.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West, Hammond, LA. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m.
