Dr. George A. Ochs IV, 76, passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2025 at Baptist East Hospital. He was surrounded by family. He was born in Louisville, KY on February 14th, 1949. He attended Saint Xavier High School and furthered his education at the University of Kentucky. While attending the UK he was a member of Keys, Lances and Alpha Epsilon Delta Honorary Societies. He was also an active member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, serving as secretary. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1974. He went on to own and operate a private practice for forty two years. George was a UK Fellow and Life Member of the UK Alumni Association. He was deeply involved in UK alumni affairs and was a member at the Boone Faculty Club. He served as president of the Greater Louisville UK Alumni Club and continued to serve for many years on the UK National Alumni Board of Directors. He was honored with the UK Alumni Distinguished Service Award in 2007. One of his most cherished times was spent serving as President of the UK National Alumni Association from 2012-2013. He was a long time member of Owl Creek Country Club, serving as president in 1993. He was a celebrated member of the Anchorage community. He also enjoyed his memberships at the Wynn Stay and Dennbarr Clubs. He was a thoroughbred racing enthusiast, owner, and active member of The Thoroughbred Club of America. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean H. Ochs and George A. Ochs III, sister Mary Ann Fredrick, brother Dr. Nicholas J. Ochs, sister Terry O. Sheeran, nephews Lee Reherman and Gavin P. Reherman. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Page Moore Ochs. Son Tyler C. Ochs (Dr. Lacy Ochs). Twin daughters, Abigail O. Payne (Charles R.G. Payne), Page Alden O. Cady (Clinton F. Cady). Four granddaughters, Caroline C. Ochs, Elizabeth H. Ochs, Ella Clayton Cady, and Ragland M. Payne. Sister-n-laws Pamela M. Conley (Wynn), and Susan E. Ochs.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church,1206 Maple Lane, Anchorage, Kentucky 40223, on Saturday October 18th at 11:00am. Reception to follow at Owl Creek Country Club from 1:00-3:30.
