George Yoe

Greg Yoe, 76, of Hamburg, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Mary E. (Richardson) Yoe. Greg was the loving husband of Marileen (Ellens) Yoe. They were married on June 8th, 1968 and celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his daughters Pamela D. Yoe, Muhlenberg and Melissa A. Yoe-Laity, wife of Christopher Laity, Muhlenberg; granddaughters Dakota Downing, Riley Yoe-Laity, Morgan Carvajal and grandsons Jordan Yoe-Laity and Logan Yoe-Laity. He was very popular and will be missed by all
his grand-dogs.
Greg was a graduate of Reading High School and was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was trained to be a firefighter in the Air Force and continued to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter following discharge, working his way up to assistant chief. He was employed as a sheet metal worker at Trim-Master for many years until his retirement.
Greg loved bowling with his wife several times a week. He was a Philadelphia sports fan and never missed watching an Eagles or Phillies game. He enjoyed attending Nascar races. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time outside, listening to Bluegrass and country music, reading and watching war and history documentaries. Greg was very social and would strike up a conversation with everyone. Family was his greatest treasure. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting and band events. Greg was always the master griller and loved competitive games at family events and picnics.
