Georgia Kay "Cookie" Fish, 47, of Fremont, passed away January 30, 2025 at Spring Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation in Green Springs, Ohio. She was born on October 25, 1977, in Fremont, Ohio, to her mother, Sandra Fish. Georgia graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1996.
A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Georgia's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She embraced her beliefs with a cheerful heart, inspiring others to find joy in their own spiritual journeys. Georgia had a remarkable talent for crafting, often using her creative spirit to bring joy to others. Whether it was through handmade gifts, intricate decorations, her creativity infused warmth and love into every occasion.
Georgia was also passionate about genealogy, dedicating countless hours to uncovering her family’s history. Her commitment to preserving her lineage brought together family members and sparked connections between generations. She will be remembered not just for her talents and faith, but also for the love she shared with her with her family and her many friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Sharon Witt, James (Jessica) Fish, Bobby (Bill) Anstead; nieces and nephews, Thomas (Melissa) Witt, Matthew (Christy) Witt and their daughters, Jacqueline Witt, Stacy Canter, Emily and Shelby Anstead, Jo Ann (Keith Johnson) and her daughter, Jerzie Fish; Aunt, Pat Fish; Cousin, Clyde Fish; special friends, Keborah Snyder, Dena Moore, Jeff Cooley, and last but not least, her beloved dog, Daisy Marie.
Georgia was preceded in death by an infant son, Harrison; maternal grandmother, Joyce Fish, and Uncle, Bob Fish.
Georgia’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her compassionate friends and caregivers at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Green Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation and Heartland Hospice for their support and care.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 831 Smith Road, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. There will be an additional hour of visiting beginning at 10:00 AM at the church. For those unable to attend, live-streaming of her services will be available by following the link on her obituary page.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Sandusky County, 1315 N. River Road, Fremont, Ohio, 43420, or to her family c/o James Fish.
