Gerald Alvin Stevens, a beloved figure in his family and community, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Macomb, Michigan, at the age of 82. Born on November 14, 1942, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, Gerald lived a life marked by love, dedication, and service.
Gerald proudly served in the United States Army, fulfilling his duty while stationed in Bamberg, Germany. This sense of commitment and responsibility carried on throughout his life, leaving an indelible mark on those around him.
For 47 years, Gerald shared a deep and loving marriage with his wife, Janet A. Stevens, who predeceased him. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and partnership, leaving behind a legacy for their children.
He is survived by three cherished children: Larry (Renee) Stevens, Jerry (Rebecca) Stevens, and Sheila (Pat) Quinn. Gerald's family continued to grow, and he took immense pride in his grandchildren—Nicole, Ryan, Patrick Jr., Miranda, Jeremy, Brandon, and Sage. Each grandchild held a special place in his heart, and he relished the precious moments shared with them. Furthermore, he was blessed with the joy of great-grandchildren, Maisy, Hayden, Layla, and Connor, who brought him much happiness and joy in his later years.
Gerald also shared a loving companionship with Cheryl Konefke, who stood by his side for the past 14 years, providing support and love through various life's journeys.
He is also remembered for his loss of a great-grandson, Benjamin, whose memory remains a touchstone of love and remembrance within the family.
Gerald Alvin Stevens will be remembered as a dedicated family man, a loyal friend, and a proud veteran. His legacy of love, service, and kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
