Dunn, NC: Mrs. Geraldine McLamb Ivey, age 83, of Harnett Dunn Hwy passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Steven Campbell. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Benson.
Mrs. Ivey was born on January 18, 1940 in Johnston County, NC to the late Tilghman and Lela Mae Tart McLamb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford Allen Ivey and a brother, James Leonard “J.L.”McLamb. Mrs. Ivey retired from the North Carolina State Department of the Treasury as a calculations manager. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Benson.
Survivors include her son, Jonathan Ray Ivey and wife, Lynn of Benson; granddaughter, Kaitland Renee McKenzie and husband, James; great-grandchildren, James Leroy McKenzie, Alistair Ray McKenzie, and Jonathan Wayne McKenzie; sister, Laursdine M. Lee of Newton Grove; a special cousin, Glenda West of Dunn and Joyce Morgan of Benson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
