Geraldine Widvey Obituary
GERALDINE N. WIDVEY, 72, beloved wife of Liam A. Widvey, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Abington, VA, Geraldine spent her formative years in Augusta, GA. She was the daughter of the late Irene Odie and was known for her warmth and kindness, never meeting a stranger. Geraldine cherished her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, placing her family at the center of her life. Her faith was paramount, and she loved the Lord deeply, being a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aiken and attending Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Augusta.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Liam; her son, Jesse Widvey (Karla), Ackworth, GA; granddaughter, Julie Widvey; two sisters, Margaret and Mary; a brother, James; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Alana and Tim Powell; nephew, Daniel Powell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five of her siblings.
No service is planned at this time.
