Gabaldon MortuaryGeraldo Chavez, age 86, born in Manzano, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on June 17, 2025. Geraldo is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Lorrie Chavez; children, Berna Chavez and husband, Freddie, Marlene Hernandez and husband, Richard, Johnny Chavez, Geraldine Armijo and husband Gilbert, Rosemary Lopez and husband, John; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; siblings, David Chavez, Pete Chavez and wife, Joanne Baca, Moises Chavez and wife, Susan, Robert Chavez, Lydia Laguna, and husband, Victor, Mary Ortega, Berna Mora, Roberta Placencio and husband, Albert, Laura Barboa and husband, Cyder, and Dolores Chavez; loved by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald Chavez; parents, Pedro and Cruzita Chavez; several siblings and in-laws; Christy Chavez, Bridgette Chavez, Gabe Chavez, Nellie Chavez, Nestor Chavez, Marcella Chavez, Billy Chavez and Lucio Mora.
A Visitation is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Service at 10:00amn Friday, September 12, 2025 at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley, 19381 N Hwy 314, Belen, NM. 87002. A Reception will follow services at 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.in the Calvary chapel.
