Gertrude Bonem Obituary

On Valentine's Day, February 14, 1953, Gertrude was united in marriage to Joseph F. Bonem and sadly he preceded her in death on March 18, 2015. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Paul Martin of Essexville and her son, Joseph Bonem of Linwood; her grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Kastner, Ashley (Garret) Morgan, Sophia Bonem and Ryan Bonem; a great granddaughter, Josephine Alyse Kastner; and a sister-in-law, Kelly Madden. Gertrude was also preceded in death by three sisters, Charlotte Malleck, Olive Madden and Geraldine Rousse; and two brothers, Arthur Madden and Harley Madden.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025 at St. Jude’s Thaddeus Parish with Rev. T.J. Fleming and Dcn. Timothy Hartwig presiding. It was Gertrude's desire for cremation to take place, and private entombment will be at St. Patrick Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be at the church on Friday, September 12th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The family suggests donations in Gertrude's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
