Gilbert Clark Richardson

Gilbert Clark Richardson, age 93, a lifelong resident of Dracut passed away peacefully at Benchmark at Billerica Crossings on Sunday, April 27, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Priestley) Richardson with whom he enjoyed 66 years of marriage.
He was born in Lowell on June 21, 1931, and was the son of the late Clark Alfred and Ethel (Richardson) Richardson.
He graduated from Dracut High School class of 1949. Gilbert served as a mechanic in the U.S. Army. He worked as a stone mason at Ralph House Construction for 25 years. He then worked at Kimball Farm in construction and maintenance for 30 years. He enjoyed going to work every day to be with his many friends.
Gilbert and Janet were married on June 21, 1958 and shared a passion for square dancing which lasted for 60 years. His true love was farming and raising animals on his family farm in Dracut. He was a member of Dracut Grange #216 and Minuteman Pomona #16. He was also a member of Pentucket Masonic Lodge, Lowell.
In addition to his loving wife, Gilbert is survived by two daughters, Mary Bedell and her husband Russell of Dracut, and Eleanor Monroe and her husband Richard of Dracut; Two grandchildren, Christine Patronick (Matthew) and Erich Benedix (Anna); five great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Katherine and Clark Benedix, and Benjamin and Miles Patronick; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Gilbert was predeceased by his son-in-law Glenn Benedix, and his sisters Dorothy McQuaide and Arlene Simard.
Memorial donations may be made in Gilbert's memory to Shriners Children's Boston.
His visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 9:30am to 10:30am at CHRIST CHURCH UNITED, 10 Arlington St., DRACUT. Following his visitation, his Funeral Service will take place at 10:30am in the Church. Interment will be held privately.
