Henry Leo Matte

Henry Leo Matte, 62, of Chelmsford, MA formally of Dracut, died August 8, 2025 at Lowell General Hospital.

He was married to Christine (Leclair) Matte with whom he would have celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on November 29, 2025.

Born in Lowell, MA, Henry was the son of Elaine (Leedberg) Matte of Ellsworth, NH and the late Theodore Matte. He graduated from Dracut High School, Dracut, with the class of 1981.

He was employed by BellSimons of Methuen, MA as a Salesman.

He loved spending time with his children and his dog Winston. He enjoyed music and traveling to Cape Cod.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Christopher Matte of Chelmsford, MA; a daughter, Elizabeth Matte of Chelmsford, MA; a brother, Theodore and his wife, Kellie Matte of Dracut and 2 sisters, Linda and her husband, Denis LeClair of Ellsworth, NH and Susan and her husband, Peter Shellenburger of New Boston, NH; Sister in law and brother in law Carrie and husband Erik Mayer and many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Henry's visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 3PM to 7 PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
