Jeanne L. (Poirier) Marchand, age 74, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John C. Marchand with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.

She was born in Lowell on April 18, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Marie Anne (Levasseur) Poirier, both of Lowell, Ma.

Jeanne was raised and educated in Lowell and graduated Lowell High School in 1969. She was a successful secretary at Raytheon Co. and worked for many years as an Overnight Home Health Aide, before retiring due to health issues. Jeanne was always happiest when at the beach and near the ocean.

In addition to her loving husband, Jeanne leaves her brother Charles Poirier Jr., pre-deceased sisters Marie Ann Joyce and Louise Paquette. Her children, Patricia M. and husband Thomas Gagne of Dracut, Jon A. and wife Kimberly Marchand of Dracut, Kristin Penalvert of Dracut, and Elizabeth D. Marchand and longtime partner, William Doubleday of Dracut. She also leaves 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Memorial donations may be made in Jeanne's name to the American Heart Association.

It being her wish, funeral services and interment were held privately. A memorial Mass will be held at a future date.
