Gladys Martin Obituary

Born in York, she was the widow of John Frank Martin and the daughter of the late William Casterable Claude Martin and Edna Pruitt Martin. Gladys formerly worked in textiles and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Martin are her children: Johnny Walker Jr (Sandra), Daniel Walker Sr, Tim Walker (Mary), and Myra Walker Goodwin; a sister, Patricia Humphries; a special niece, Diane Jenkins; over sixty grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by eleven siblings and a son-in-law, James A. Goodwin.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Smyrna Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 2:00pm.
The family will be at the respective homes.
