Glen Lanier “Glennier” Clyatt, age 87 passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Butler, FL, on March 30, 2024. He was born in Union County, FL on April 1, 1936, to the late Robert and Vera Clyatt. He attended and graduated from Union County High School. He married Dale Hollingsworth, the love of his life, on December 20, 1956. Glen worked for Florida Gas, later Enron, as a mechanical technician for 26 years until his retirement. He was also a farmer and enjoyed planting and tending to his crops. He enjoyed taking trips to the mountains, camping, and spending time with his family. Mr. Glen was a member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and also his wife of 65 years, Dale Clyatt.

Mr. Glen is survived by his children, Lanier (Carol) Clyatt of Brooker, Cindy (Stanley) O’steen, and Don Clyatt, of Lake Butler; his grandchildren, Lindsay (Jeremy) Craft of Chipley, Jordan (Ashley) Clyatt of Tallahassee, Kerri (CJ) Burroughs of Lake Butler, Kayla (Justin) Thomas of Alachua, Donny (Barbara) Clyatt, Adam (Erica) Adkins, and Arica Lafferty, all of Lake Butler, and 18 great-grandchildren.

A service to honor Mr. Glen’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. He will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Elzey Chapel Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home, Lake Butler 386-496-2008.
