Gloria was born August 7, 1942 in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Lillian (Mitchell) Gruno. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Carman Ainsworth High School with the class of 1960. On May 28, 1963 she married Gerald "Jerry" Alma and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2014. Gloria and her family attended Sheridan Road Baptist church for several years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and made the best swiss rolls, zingers, goulash, and pancake breakfasts in the neighborhood. Gloria was the one that wore the pants in the neighborhood and you always knew where you stood with her. She loved holding all the babies and playing solitaire. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially all her grandchildren.
Surviving are: children, Gerald Alma II, James (Heather) Alma, Dawn (Dan Trivilino) Knox, Donald (Nancy) Alma, Charlie Alma; 18 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren and one on the way; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents and 12 Siblings. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
