Gloria Ann Whitehouse, of Pauls Valley, passed away August 11, 2025 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years.
Gloria Ann Hill was born July 11, 1935 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Theodore and Eunice (Grice) Hill. She is a 1953 Graduate from Okemah High School where she placed top 5 in her class; for two years she was in the National Honor Society. She then attended John Brown University. On February 26, 1954 she and William Loyd "Bud" Whitehouse were married at the Church of the Nazarene in Okemah, Oklahoma. From 1956 until 1963 she owned and operated a fast-food business in Okemah; then 1963 until 1968 was employed in a lumber company, later to become an owner/operator in the Lumber Company owner from 1968 until 1991 and Bookkeeper in her businesses for over 30 years. She was a very active member of the Baptist Church where she played the piano and organ and for ten years and taught Sunday School classes. She loved to bowl and water ski and to cook at Falls Creek for the children of the church. Other activities included that she enjoyed were trailer camping and travelling. She was still playing the piano in church up to 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Eunice Hill; two brothers, Theodore (Ted) Hill and Truman Hill; one daughter, Sharon (Whitehouse) Calvert; and a granddaughter, Marcy (Whitehouse) McKee.
Gloria is survived by her husband of over 71 years, William Loyd "Bud" Whitehouse of the home; her children, Loyd Dwain Whitehouse and his wife, Karen, of St. Cloud, Florida; Ronnie LaRay Whitehouse, and his wife Donna, of Muskogee; and Dennis Ray Whitehouse, Penny, of Pauls Valley; as well as 8 grandchildren, Brooke, Corey, Steven, Stephanie, B J, Ashley, Daniel, and Hannah; and 18 great-grandchildren, who, in her own hand says that she dearly loved each one. She went on to say that "God is still good and is her anchor every day."
The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Thursday, August 14th, from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. A Livestream of the service will be on the Face Book page of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Kevin Mitchell. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Okemah under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. We invite you to send words of comfort to the family at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com.
