Grace Berdina Yott
Age 85 of New Lothrop passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in New Lothrop. The family will receive friends at the Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 25th from 2:00 to 7:00pm.
Grace was born on August 7, 1936 to Clifford and Hilda (Dempsey) Confer in New Lothrop. Grace was married to Joseph Besaw for many years, and they raised 4 children together. She then married Hugh Yott in December 1972; they celebrated 42 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2015.
Grace owned and operated Gracie's Restaurant in New Lothrop for several decades, first opening in 1974. She enjoyed golfing, boating, swimming, and traveling. Most of all, Grace loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Grace is survived by her children, Cliff (Janet) Besaw, Joe (Denise) Besaw, Hildavi Dice, and Marijo Clark; step-children, Judy (Vinnie) Correale, Vickey (Mike) Morrissey, Keith Yott, and Robin (David) Leincke; grandchildren, Trisha Besaw, Zack Besaw, Sabrina (Troy) Smith, Ronnie Allen, Gracie Theodore, and Nicole Theodore; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Sawyer Smith; step-grandchildren, Michael, Mandy, Mathew, Kelly, Brian, Jordyn, Ryan, and Darwin.
She is predeceased by her husband, Hugh Yott; son-in-law, Ron Dice; step-son, Roy Yott; her parents; and her brother, Lyle Confer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Twin Township Ambulance, New Lothrop Public Schools, or the First United Methodist Church.
