Gregory Leonard Givens

Mr. Gregory Leonard Givens Sr. son of the late Florrie Lee Tyson Heard and Edward Givens, Sr. was born on July 9, 1962, in Savannah, Georgia. His parents relocated to Atlanta Georgia. He attended schools in the Atlanta Public School System and graduated from Carver High School in 1980.
Gregory was fun filled and enjoyed living his best life with his family and friends. He always talked about his love for God and had a strong relationship with him all his life. He was loved by everyone that knew him. He really stayed in touch and connected to all his family and close friends.
On Sunday, October 13, 2024, Gregory entered suddenly into eternal rest in Lacombe, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Harriett Tilley Washington.
Gregory is survived by his wife, Alicia (Lisa) Givens, Lacombe, Louisiana. He also leaves behind a beautiful legacy of five daughters and two sons, Tre'chic Ellison, Aisha Givens, Jade Williams, Jessica Williams, Gregory Givens Jr., Jamario Givens, and Yu'niq Johnson. He was a devoted Godfather to Precious Fulton.
Beyond his legacy, Gregory leaves to cherish his memories three sisters, Janice Milton, Savannah, Georgia, Cheryl Bost (Jaudon), Douglasville, Georgia, and Anita Sellers (Readerick), Atlanta, Georgia and three brothers, Edward Givens, Jr. (Rosylen), Savannah, Georgia, Alonzo Heard Jr. (Terri), Atlanta, Georgia and Randy Heard, Hampton, Georgia along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends including his special friend and brother, Joe Rush.
