Coos Bay OR, formerly of Lansing/Delta twp. Gregg passed away on Sunday, February 18 at the age of fifty-two with his brother, cousins and friends present. He was born August 29 in Flint, MI to Joel and Teresa Ann (Moran) Hott. Gregg graduated from Waverly High School and later from Purdue University with a degree in Computer Science. He worked at a variety of related jobs in North Carolina, Indianapolis, Oklahoma, and finally in California being most lately home located out of La Jolla, CA. He loved living in San Diego, Phoenix and most recently Coos Bay with its temperate weather.
Gregg enjoyed traveling, having visited Poland, Austria, Germany, The Philippines (the first time for a long term, making lasting friends there), Australia, New Zealand and China. A trip to the Mediterranean was planned for next year. He has been described by his closest relatives and friends as sweet, caring and loyal.
Surviving are his father Joel of Lansing, brother Nicholas of Tucson, AZ, and many wonderful Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. He was predeceased by his Mother, Teresa, and his Grandparents.
Cremation has taken place with arrangements by Springer and Son Aloha Funeral Home in Aloha, OR. A celebration of Life is contemplated for June in Lansing. Special thanks to the 14th Floor nursing staff of Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, OR over the past few months.
