Guiseppina Carone

Guiseppina Carone (nee Fusco) of New Providence, NJ passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the age of 83.
The visitation will be held at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Heights, NJ on Friday, January 3rd, from 8:30 AM – 10 AM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church, 111 South St., New Providence, NJ on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM followed by the burial at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit.
Guiseppina was born in Torrecuso, Italy, the daughter of the late Rosa (nee Rillo) and Carmine Fusco. She came to live in New Providence, NJ, where she had resided for the past 59 years. She had been employed at Aircast in Summit, NJ for 20 years before retiring 18 years ago.
As a proud Italian, Giuseppina's home was always filled with the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals. An open-door policy to all family and friends, but also for people she met for the first time, quickly becoming part of her family as well. Her heart was filled with pure love. Being in the kitchen and sharing family traditions were an integral part of her life. She took immense joy in spreading her Italian roots through her meals, garden, and, most importantly, through the time spent with her loved ones. Her garden, a reflection of her nurturing spirit, was a place of beauty and solace.
She fittingly became known as "Nonna" to many because of her naturally warm, gracious and loving spirit. Always putting others first, she came to be revered for her willingness to help in whatever way she could.
A woman of steadfast faith, whose strength was quietly persevere through the good and the bad, hardworking even up to her last days and completely devoted to caring for her family; making sure she spent Christmas Eve with the Carone family and Christmas Day with her beloved Fusco Family, to ensure she sat at the table one last time by all who loved her, and she in turn loved them. Along with holding a place in her heart and thoughts for family members and friends who were not able to join her in her final days.
Guiseppina was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Michele Carone, her two loving sons, Nicola and Carmen Carone, and her dear granddaughter Victoria Pobanz. She is survived by her devoted daughter-in-law Cathy A. Carone, her cherished grandchildren, Rosa and Michael Carone, grandson-in-law Sam Pobanz, great-grandchildren Mariah, Nicholas, Charles, and Molly, and her brother Umberto Fusco. She was also pre-deceased by her brother Libero Fusco.
