Gwendolyn Reed- Holt, affectionately known as "Peaches," was born on June 20, 1954, in Nashville, TN. She was the beloved daughter of Clarien and Aaron Bostick. She left us peacefully and gained her wings on June 9, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Gwendolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was a proud member of Vine Glenn Baptist Church. She was educated in the Metro Nashville Public School system, graduating from McGavock High School.
Gwendolyn had a varied career, having worked at Clover Bottom and Quebecor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the Tennessee Lottery, watching movies, and dining out. Her warmth and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Gwendolyn was married to Michael Holt.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her father Aaron Bostick; mother, Clarien Bostick; husband, Henry Reed; sister, Mary Harris; son, Gregory Lamont Bostick; nephew, Ernest Harris Jr.; niece, LaFonda Harris; aunt, Amanda Patton; uncle, Bobby Bostick; aunt, Mary Foster; grandmother, Frances Bostick; and uncle, Frank Bostick.
Gwendolyn enjoyed dancing, watching sitcoms, shopping and going to the beauty shop. She also loved music; The Temptations and the Isley Brothers were her two favorite groups. Her absolute favorite song was Her we go again by the Isley Brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Tonya Bostick; son, Christopher (Sharon) Reed; sister, Carolyn Bostick; brother, Aaron Bostick Jr.; and three granddaughters, Angelica Bostick, Ashley Bostick, and Brooke Henson. She also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren: Kadin and Kameron Bostick, Karmyn Scales, Marqualis Hill, James, IV, Jordan Journey, Jordan, Montez, Ja’Riyah, Jaquan, and Mozzi Dodson.
She is remembered fondly by her nieces, Pamela Harris-Davis, Sharon Taylor, Valarie Giddens, Tracey Manlove, Terri Douglas, and Baraka Rogers, as well as her nephews, Karlen Harris, Gregory Harris, and Lamonte R. Presley, Marcus Bostick; a devoted friend, Betty Johnson, and a host of other relatives and friends will cherish her memory.
Gwendolyn "Peaches" Holt will forever remain in our hearts, her spirit living on in the love she shared with everyone around her.
