Hafeeza Hassan was born on December 12, 1973 to her mother, Baseemah Hassan and father, Samuel Silas, Sr. who both preceded her in death. Hafeeza’s brother, Michael Silas and her sister, Sherine Silas also preceded her in death. Hafeeza attended McFarlane Elementary School and Charles R. Drew Middle School. She graduated from Cody High School in 1992. Hafeeza received her Bachelor’s of Social Work Degree from Eastern Michigan University in the year 2000. Before her sudden passing, Hafeeza was proudly employed as an Academic Interventionist at Davison Elementary School in Detroit, Michigan. She was loved and respected by all of her colleagues and the students who loved her dearly. Hafeeza loved dancing, reading, talking and helping others.
So funny and outgoing, Hafeeza was very dedicated and loving to her family and friends. She always made sure she had a good time. Hafeeza will truly be missed by us all.
Hafeeza leaves to cherish her loving memory: her sisters and brothers, Linda Rogers, Samuel Silas, Jr., Ahmad Rashad Hassan, Rafig Hassan, Fathiyyah Hassan, Haniyyah Hassan and Tauheedah Hassan McCleod.
Hafeeza had 4 nephews & 8 neices that she loved dearly.
