Harry Hall Trice III was born February 23rd, 1962, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Hall was the first born child of Harry Hall Trice Jr. and Beverly Mullins Trice. He grew up in Columbia, Missouri and graduated from Rock Bridge High School in 1980. He later went on to graduate from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology in 1985 and then worked as a Child Care Counselor at the Evangelical Children's Home of Drumm Farm in Independence, Missouri. He later moved to Greeley, Colorado with his former spouse, Susan Harrell, where he earned his Master of Arts in Agency Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 1992. Upon graduation, he spent the rest of his career with a deep sense of purpose dedicated to helping children navigate the foster care system as a Psychotherapist with his own private practice. His work touched countless lives and reflected his lifelong compassion for others.
He and Susan raised three kids together in Columbia, Missouri. Known for his "Daddy Days", where he would surprise his kids on a random day and pull them out of school for an adventure, like going for a hike, or to the Chocolate factory in Columbia, Missouri. Sometimes surprising them with longer field trips to the Runge Nature Center in Jefferson City (with Central Dairy Ice Cream afterwards, of course), or to the Science Center and Zoo in Kansas City, Missouri. He never missed one of his kids' sporting events, graduations, or major life events. He was an always present dad who loved his kids with all he had.
In his younger years, Hall was an enthusiastic tennis and volleyball player. He was known for his impressive ability to jump over an entire car. Later in life, he became an avid pickleball player and was always up for a night out on the town dancing. Hall was known for being a holistic health guru, always having the answers to every ailment, itch, or ache. His love of movement, laughter and connection carried through every stage of his life.
Hall is survived by his three children, Sienna McLain (spouse, Jacob) of Kansas City, Missouri, Helen Trice of Kansas City, Missouri, and Harry Hall Trice Jr. of Fort Collins, CO as well as his loving girlfriend and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his younger brother George "Troy" Trice.
Friends will be received on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Parker-Millard Funeral Services in Columbia, Missouri. Funeral service will begin following visitation at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following services at Columbia Cemetery in Columbia, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker-Millard Funeral Service and Crematory, 12 E. Ash St.; Columbia, Missouri 65203. (573) 449-4153. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.milardfamilychapels.com
