Harold Edward Pendleton

Harold Edward Pendleton, 84, of Lane, Oklahoma was born July 10, 1936 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He is the son of Dorsey Edward and Hattie Susan "Sue" (Neet) Pendleton. Harold walked the golden streets of Heaven on November 21, 2020.
Harold attended college in Alva, Oklahoma at Northwestern State College where he received his Bachelor of Science degree.
Harold married the love of his life LaVeta Faye Jones of Granite, Oklahoma on November 10, 1961 at the First Assembly of God in Clinton, Oklahoma. They made their home in Norman, Oklahoma until March 1973. Then moved to Amarillo, Texas until July 1976, and to George West, Texas from July 1976 until June 1987. They moved to Lane, Oklahoma where they remained for the rest of their lives.
Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army and was in the Army Reserve for over twenty years, from 1955 to 1976. He was employed by the United States Department of Interior - Bureau of Reclamation for thirty years, from 1960 and retired in 1990.
Harold loved attending church at the Assembly of God in Atoka, Oklahoma, he was a man of great faith who loved and believed in the Lord with all his heart. He encouraged others to strengthen their faith and walk with the Lord and Savior. Harold enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023 at The Link, Elk City, Oklahoma. Pastor Brent Gifford and Pastor Ben Pennock will officiate. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
He is survived by one son, Stacy Pendleton of Eufaula, Oklahoma, one daughter, Tonya (Pendleton) Spurrier and her children, Conner and Kennady of Castle Rock, Colorado; one brother, Don Pendleton and his wife, Gaye of Jay, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife, LaVeta Pendleton; his parents, Dorsey Edward and Hattie Susan "Sue" (Neet) Pendleton; one sister, Patsy Pennock; and one granddaughter, Samantha Carol Pendleton Carnes.
