Harriet B. Rochowiak

Harriet B. Rochowiak, 88, of Whiteford Twp., Michigan, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025. Harriet was born on August 12, 1936, and was the daughter of Emerson and Opal (Barnes) Ebersole. She was a 1954 graduate from Whitmer High School, and then married Bernard "Bernie: Rochowiak on May 22, 1954. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2006. Harriet was a clerk & cashier for the former K-Mart on Central Avenue for 30 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, where she was active in the Christian Mother's Club, taught gym class, and was in the parents group.

She is survived by her loving children, Bernice Heidelberg, Gerald (Pamela) Rochowiak, and Carl (Susan) Rochowiak; brothers, Darold (Judy) Ebersole, and David Ebersole; sister, Fay Howard; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Harriet was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ray, Leland, Dale Ebersole and sister, Jeanette Eichenberg.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 4605 St. Anthony Road, Temperance, MI, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am.
