Harry Eugene "Kirk" Kirkpatrick

Harry Eugene "Kirk" Kirkpatrick went to the Lord on March 18, 2025,
at Hospice Austin's Christopher House.
Kirk was born on March 15, 1946, in Weslaco, Texas. He graduated from Weslaco High School in 1964 and went on to earn a degree in History, with minors in English and Psychology from Pan American University in 1969. After graduating, Kirk began his career as a salesman for radio station KURV. He later built a successful sales career with Wrangler Jean Company, Acme Boot Company, and in real estate. However, selling swimming pools turned out to be his true craft. He dedicated 20 years to Pool Corp before retiring in 2019 at the age of 73.
Kirk's life was centered on his faith in Christ. He was deeply involved as the Austin President of Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship. Through this organization, he met the love of his life, Becky V. Barth Sheen, at a Full Gospel Men's Fellowship breakfast in 1984. They married on September 14, 1985, and together they served their faith and Him by opening their home for their Glad Tidings Church's Connect Group meetings for several years.
Kirk also had a great love for nature. In his younger days, he enjoyed water skiing. He and Becky cherished the peace they found being near the water at their home on Lake Austin for over 20 years. They then spent many joyful years at their ranch in Hico, traveling, and exploring the beauty of America. Hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors brought him endless joy.
Above all, Kirk's greatest loves were Becky, family, friends, and his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Truly, nothing else mattered.
Kirk was preceded in death by his parents, Eugenia Lucille Markowsky and Harry Hyman Kirkpatrick, as well as his brother, Walter Lee Kirkpatrick. He is survived by his beloved wife Becky, his sister-in-law Geralyn Kirkpatrick, and his nieces and nephews: Sean (Lisa) Kirkpatrick; Kristen Kirkpatrick (Jason) Johnson; Lynn Kirkpatrick (Joe) Guevara; Shell (Allison) Black; William (Gabby) Black; Bobby (Hang) Black; Sherry Barth; Sandy Barth; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Kirk's life will be held at GT - Glad Tidings Church, 2700 Northland Drive, Austin, Texas 78756 on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 11:00am. A private burial service will be held at San Saba Cemetery, where Kirk will be laid to rest in the ancestral Kirkpatrick plot.
