Harry Allen Tidwell, 70, of Pine Bluff, was born November 18, 1953, in Pine Bluff to Harry Leon and Johnnie Raymick Tidwell. He attended Watson Chapel High School. Harry became licensed as a plumber and shortly thereafter began working for Cotton Belt Railroad, from which he retired. As an involved father, he coached PeeWee football at White Hall, and also Western Little League Baseball. He was a member of the R and R Hunting club and enjoyed hunting and fishing and taking his sons on those trips with him, even though he preferred to harvest the animals himself! Harry grew up in the Sulphur Springs Community and lived there all his life and attended Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. He loved his dogs, Little Bit and before him, Charley, and was rarely seen out without them.
Harry passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and step-mother, Christine Tidwell; a son, Steven Benjamin Tidwell; and a brother, Gary Ray Tidwell.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Watson Tidwell, whom he married on June 27, 1975. Also left to cherish his memory are his sons, Allen Tidwell and wife, Ashley, and Jason Tidwell and wife, Theresa; a sister, Lynn Tidwell; a brother, Steve Tidwell; four beloved grandchildren, Macee, Jase, Gage, and Hudson. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends, including his close friend, Steve Lawrence.
A family-directed graveside memorial service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Ramick Cemetery with Bro. Mike Holcomb officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in his name be made to the Wounded Warrior Project online at https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/
