Hazel L. (Spangler) Moore, 97, of Saltsburg, formerly of Somerset, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024.
Born September 3, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert Spangler & Elvie (Thomas) Spangler.
Hazel was a graduate of Somerset High School, and worked at Steiner's Drapery and the Boswell Sewing Factory. She retired from the Food Café at Somerset Hospital in 2002.
Hazel was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Somerset, and enjoyed crafting, crocheting, sewing, and was an avid reader.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Moore; son, Dennis Moore; infant grandson, Dennis Moore, Jr.; and her brother, David Spangler.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Luana "Lonnie" (Les) Urban of Saltsburg; granddaughters, Amanda (Aaron Davis) Urban, Miranda Kilpatrick, Michelle (Paul) Buzby; great-grandchildren, Sophia Kilpatrick, Alivia Davis, David Buzby; brother, Clifford (Louise) Spangler; sister, Shirley Welsh; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and close friend, Linda Miller.
Friends will be received on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 701 Salt St. Saltsburg. Additional visitation will be held in the Faith Lutheran Church, 6567 Glades Pike, Somerset, PA from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kathy Stump officiating. Interment in Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery, Somerset.
