Hazel Owens Obituary

Hazel Dorothy Owens, age 93, of Covington, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025. Born in Atlanta on June 15, 1932, she was one of fourteen children. Hazel was a sweet, caring woman who loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was easy to talk to, loved watching TV, and was a devoted member of East Newton Baptist Church. She also enjoyed visiting Pigeon Forge and Branson, where she made many cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and eleven siblings.

Survivors include her children, Ronnie Jones (Carol), Alan Jones (Bonnie), Mike Jones (Gayle), Glenn Parks, and Jack Owens (Libby); sisters, Patsy Joyner and Faye Skinner; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home.
