Helen Barbara Cheeseman, age 81 of Barnsboro NJ passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Born 9/20/43 in Woodbury, NJ to the late Everett Wayne Brown and Helen Barbara (nee Farestad), she graduated from Pitman High School. Helen had her own daycare business and retired from Shady Lane Nursing Home where she was a certified nursing aide. She enjoyed the fellowship with the members of Barnsboro Baptist Church and in her spare time enjoyed, art, drawing, painting, sewing and playing the guitar. Helen was a tireless mother and caregiver to many. A woman of strong religious conviction, she guided her three children and others through good times and bad with kindness and always willing to listen to those who needed someone to talk to. She will be greatly missed by many but never forgotten.
Wife of the late Willis H. Cheeseman Jr., she is survived by her son, Mark P. Cheeseman & his wife, Lisa; her daughter, Amy Chalmers & her husband, William; grandchildren, Mark Pontelandolfo-Cheeseman, Alyse Cheeseman, Richard Pedrick, William Chalmers Jr., and Olivia, Alyssa and Christopher Sharp; two great grandchildren, Amy & James Pedrick, and siblings, Steve Brown (Carmela), and Raymond Brown; and sister-in-law, Joan Brown, and Susan Brown Dolan. Helen was also predeceased by her daughter, Rebecca Cheeseman, brother, Wayne Brown and sister-in-law, Joann Brown. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and 2nd cousins. Everyone was touched by Helen's warmth and kindness and giving including her many friends.
A celebration of life will be announced in the near future.
