Helen Franco

Helen Franco, age 74, was called home to the Lord on August 14, 2025. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Helen was born on April 6, 1951, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Genovevo and Susie Farmer. She was one of four children. A proud graduate of Goddard High School, Helen continued her education at ENMU-Roswell, where she became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She began her career at St. Mary's Hospital and later worked at Caprock Communications. She also worked at Dollar Days and eventually at Target, back when switchboards were still in use. A devoted member of St. John's Catholic Church in Roswell, Helen gave back to her faith community as a volunteer catechism teacher, helping prepare young children for their First Holy Communion and First Year Confirmation. Helen is survived by her three beloved children: Julie Lollis; Raymond Franco and his wife Wendi; and Daniel Franco and his wife Cimarinda. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Angelique Marin and her husband Louie; Kathleen Salcido; Leticia Salcido and her fiancé Casey Mckenley; Steve Salcido; Salayandrina Garcia-Franco and her fiancé John Lehman; Remigio Franco; Arianna Franco; and Aubrie Franco; and three siblings, Robert Farmer, Johnny Farmer, and Christina Farmer. She also leaves behind eight cherished great-grandchildren: Louie, Emilio, Rodrigio, and Ramiro Marin; Alicia Salcido; Jaxson and Heavenly-Rose Mckenley; and Matteo Raymon Lehman. Helen was a deeply spiritual and caring woman, loved by many. She shared a close and enduring friendship with Vingie Quintero, whose family welcomed Helen into their lives and hearts as an honorary grandmother. Their love and support during Helen's final days brought her great comfort, and the family is especially grateful for their presence and kindness. Helen will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
