Helen May Frederick, a cherished soul, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, at the age of 96, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, due to congestive heart failure. Born on September 7, 1928, in
Bristol, Pennsylvania, Helen lived a life marked by love, dedication, and a zest for the simple pleasures.
A proud graduate of Bristol High School, Helen's educational journey laid a foundation for her strong work ethic and community involvement. She embarked on a diverse career path, contributing her talents to various organizations including the Paterson Parchment Co and later, Rohm and Haas Co, from where she retired after many years of dedicated service. Helen's professional life was characterized by her reliability, her warmth, and her willingness to lend a helping hand to all her colleagues.
Her life was enriched by her marriage to John Frederick, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a family and a home that was filled with laughter, music, and love. Helen's legacy continues through her son, John H. Frederick and his wife Laurie of Levittown, and her daughter Wendy and her husband Wayne Willever of Central Pennsylvania. She was a beacon of light in their lives, guiding them with her wisdom and supporting them with her unyielding strength.
Helen was a woman of faith, embodying the principles of Christianity in her daily living and interactions with others. Her kindness and generosity were the hallmarks of her character, and she touched many lives with her gentle spirit.
A lover of music, Helen found joy in playing her piano, an instrument that not only provided a soundtrack for her family's life but also served as a source of personal solace and expression. Her passion for swimming was evident to all who knew her in Hulmeville, Pennsylvania, where she shared many happy moments in her pool with neighbors and friends.
Not only did Helen relish the tranquility of the water, but she also possessed a creative flair, knitting beautiful afghans that became treasured adornments in her home and the homes of those she loved. In 2007, Helen moved to Cape May to fulfill her dream of living by the beach. There, she embraced every opportunity to bask in the seaside atmosphere, cherishing the time spent in the sun and sand. Cape May provided a serene backdrop for her golden years, allowing her to reflect on a life well-lived and to enjoy the natural beauty that she so adored.
