Homer Tatum Obituary
He was born October 29, 1936, in White Oak, North Carolina the son of the late Homer and Aleen Tatum. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Linda Tatum, daughter, Cindy Ganous, and sister Margie Evans.
Homer served his country in the Navy for 4 years and retired after a long career in Transportation. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Garrett Tatum and wife Deby, and Kelly McCurry; grandchildren, Gregory Ganous and wife Heather, Spenser Smith and husband Jimmy, Cameron Ganous and wife Alexis, Oliva Adzima and husband Austin, Tyler McCurry and girlfriend Meredith, and Lauren McCurry; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; son-in-law, Gregg Ganous; sisters, Lib Sessoms, Shirley Chason, Ann Dunn, and Judy Bradshaw and husband Ed; and numerous other beloved family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in White Oak, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family request, memorials be made to the Dementia Foundation, https://www.dementiasociety.org/
