Huong was born in Vinh Loi, Bac Lieu, Vietnam where she spent her formative years. She emigrated to the United States in 1975. She enjoyed family time, knitting, playing Bingo, and watching her favorite Chinese shows.
Huong is survived by her 6 children: Vien Nguyen, Vinh Nguyen, Hung (Peter) Trinh, Huynh Mai Nguyen, Huynh Dao Wardrop, and Huynh Nga Nguyen, and her 15 grandchildren.
