Ilma Lee Reppe, age 85, of Monroe, was called home to heaven on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Born July 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Nellie (Reynolds) Armstrong. Ilma attended and graduated from Ida High School with the class of 1955. Shortly after, on July 21, 1956, Ilma married John A. Reppe and together they raised six children on the same farm she called home during her childhood. She had several jobs in her lifetime but was very proud of her work as a Teacher's Aide at the Monroe County Intermediate School District.
Ilma was a member of the Stewart Road Church of God and an avid prayer warrior. She was a faithful servant to her lord and savior. Ilma belonged to the Lullaby Extension Group and the National Campers and Hikers Association.
Ilma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was the most beautiful soul many have ever known. She was drawn to people and people were drawn to her. She was absolutely a cheerleader for others. Ilma will be truly missed by all.
To cherish her memory Ilma leaves her children, Robert (Sonya) Reppe, Kenneth Reppe, Brenda (Gary) Swathell, Kathy (Dave) Hartwig and Lisa (Jim) Zitek; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, John Reppe, a daughter, Cheryl Kamprath, a grandson Dominic and three sisters, Jane Eisenmann, Wanda VanEechoutte and Jean Setzler.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 2 until 8 pm at Rupp Funeral Home. Ilma will lie in state on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Stewart Road Church of God at 10 am wilh service beginning at 11am. Ilma will be laid to rest at Whiteford Union Cemetery in Lambertville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Stewart Road Church of God Senior Ministries.
