Iona Cohen Obituary
She was born April 26, 1933 in Anderson, the daughter of Earl and Florence (Black) Rogers. She lived in Anderson most of her life, moving to Westminster, SC in 2002. She had worked in the Home Healthcare industry and was a member of First Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her son, Phillip Eugene (wife, Carol) Hilligoss of Westminster, SC; daughters, Martha Jane (husband, Charles) Frazier of Elwood, Cynthia Ann Morphew of Westminster, SC, Sherry Lynn (husband, Steve) Craig of Walhalla, SC, Carrie Angela Burcham of Anderson and Jean Angel (husband, Randy) Smith of Westminster, SC; 27 grandchildren, along with a special granddaughter, Tammy West of Elwood; several great grandchildren; sister, Marie Allendar of Anderson; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Hilligoss of Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Virgil Cohen; two sons, William Paul Hilligoss and Richard Delbert Hilligoss; and nine brothers and sisters.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Pastor Danny St. Clair officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Walk Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
