Irene Mae Brown Greer passed away in her home peacefully on February 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Lamar, Missouri on November 16,1939 to Emily Jane and Elmont W. Brown.

As an only child, Irene always dreamed of having a big family. She met and married the love of her life Blaine on October 15,1957 lasting 46 years until his passing. She raised six children in a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She embraced every moment with an open heart and an unforgettable, spunky attitude.

Irene’s interests included camping, reading, and embroidery. She also enjoyed having family over for roast dinner on Sundays. Irene always put others before herself, whether it was a word of encouragement or a sharp-witted joke, she had a way of bringing light into every room she entered.

She was a woman of strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she impacted with her love and generosity.

Irene is survived by her children, Janie Weston, Debbie Morton, Pam Greer, and Bill Greer, as well as 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine; her children, Jeff Greer and Becky (Trent) DeVries; and her parents.

The family would like to thank all the caretakers and hospice workers for all their kindness and support.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park,
