Isabelle M. Knapp, age 95, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Serenity House in Tomah, WI.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 16, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards, WI. Pastor Corey Shaffer will officiate, burial will be in the Village of Port Edwards Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Church on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
Isabelle was born July 25, 1927 in Amherst, WI to Robert and Edna (Marx) Lind. She was employed by Consolidated Papers Company until her marriage to Clayton. In her later years, she was a homemaker and held various part-time jobs, along with caring for her children and grandchildren. She married Clayton Knapp on August 28, 1954 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amherst, WI. Isabelle was on the Alter Guild at Trinity Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed gardening, going fishing and camping, doing flowers, loved baking pies, playing cards, birdwatching, had a fondness and love for all animals.
Isabelle is survived by her children: Jan (Gerald) Cote of Sparta, WI, John (Lisa) Knapp of Wis. Rapids, grandchildren: Ashley (Scott) Sopa, Sara (Steven) Joplin, Jason Knapp, Cassie (Mario) Contreras Jr., and great-grandchildren: Braxton, Brynlee, Brayden and is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clayton Knapp, son Randall Knapp, grandson Allan Knapp, son-in-law Scott Martinovich, sister Viola Ziekle and brother Robert Lind Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you possibly plant a forever garden, tree or shrub in memory of Isabelle.
The family would like to thank the staff at Serenity House in Tomah for the excellent care given to Isabelle during her final days.
