Ivan Stewart, of Republic, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on October 24, 2024. Ivan was 89 years old. He was born in Farmington, MO, to Charles and Mayme (Eaves) Stewart on December 03, 1934.
On June 03, 1955, he married Reva Mooneyham, and they shared 69 amazing years together, and were blessed with three children Renee, Ryan and Stephen. Ivan loved to hunt and could fix just about anything, and if he couldn't fix it right away, he would put some thought into it and come up with a way to fix it. Ivan even built three full size farm tractors and several trailers. He loved watching western movies and had a life size cut out of John Wayne. Ivan owned and operated Ivan Stewart Excavating in and around Republic for over 25 years. Ivan and Reva loved to travel, both domestically and internationally, having taken trips to Hawaii, Puerto Rico and England. They also enjoyed traveling in their RV along with a caravan of five other couples.
He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Stephen Mark Stewart, brothers Hobart, Horace and Hardy Stewart.
Ivan is survived by his loving wife, Reva daughter Renee Desai and husband Ketan, son Ryan Stewart and wife Sandy, grandchildren Nick Desai, Danielle Stewart and Tanner Stewart, sister Emogene Cassy as well as other extended family and friends.
A Visitation is scheduled for Monday, October 28, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic.
