Jack Hart Hobbs, 77, of Chesapeake, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, peacefully at home with his family.

Born in Norfolk, he was the son of the late William Henry Hobbs, Jr. and Mable Crisp Hobbs. Jack was a 1967 graduate of Great Bridge High School. He joined the Navy after graduation, where he served 10 honorable years. After leaving the Navy, he went on to work as an electrician at Norfolk Shipbuilding until his retirement in 2010. Jack was a beloved member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church; where he was a Deacon and actively served across many ministries. He was always generous and willing to provide whatever support necessary for anyone in need. Jack had many hobbies and passions. A few were riding motorcycles in his younger days, playing pool, traveling, and collecting antiques.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mable; and brothers William "Billy" Hobbs and Arthur "Artie" Hobbs.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Linda; brother, Harry Hobbs; and sisters-in-law, Marie Hobbs and Susan Hobbs; along with nieces, nephews, and extended family. Jack was a wonderful husband, Linda loved him very much and will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, September 29th at the Graham Funeral Home in Chesapeake. Jack's life will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Deep Creek Baptist Church, 250 Mill Creek Pkwy in Chesapeake, with Pastor Larry Ryals officiating, there will be a time of fellowship immediately following the service at the church. The interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. To leave a condolence to the family please visit grahamfuneralhome.com
