Jack E Minder Sr.

Jack E. Minder Sr., passed away peacefully in Mishawaka, IN, on March 24, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on May 6, 1938, in South Bend, IN, Jack's life was marked by devotion to his family, a storied career, and a zest for living that touched all who knew him.
Jack's journey through life was shared with his beloved wife, Bonnie (Fish) Minder, until her passing in December 2020. Their union, beginning on July 5, 1958, in Mishawaka, IN, was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Though preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Josephine (Crawford) Minder, son Jack E. Minder Jr., and siblings Jojo, Patty, Donna, Carol, Billy, Mark, and Mike, Jack's legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his trusted brother, Frank; his son, John (Debbie) Minder; grandchildren Nic (Tori) Minder, Lace (Julian) Bonilla, Brooke (Oscar III) Costilla, Joshua Minder, and Camille (Cody) Foos; as well as a troop of adoring great-grandchildren: Hayden, Colton, Easton, Lincoln, Rosalie, Emilio, Audrey, Quentin, Ella, Collins, and Brinxton.
Jack dedicated over three decades to ABF Freight as a truck driver, navigating the nation's highways with skill and pride. His work ethic and camaraderie were second only to his love for his family.
Beyond the rigors of work, Jack's passions painted the tapestry of his leisure. His musical talent shone brightly as he struck chords with the Clay Tones for over 20 years. As an accomplished guitarist, he brought joy and rhythm to many. Jack also found great pleasure in the simple joys of life: playing softball with friends, reveling in the magic of Disney World, enjoying shuffleboard, and relishing trips to Gatlinburg. In his later years, Jack embraced the life of a snowbird, cherishing the Florida sunshine during the winter months and the company of good friends.
With the setting sun on a well-lived life, Jack leaves behind memories that will be fondly recounted and a spirit that will continue to inspire. His was a life marked by adventure, laughter, and an abundance of love. Jack E. Minder Sr. will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and eternally respected.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. Mishawaka, IN 46545. Services will take place at New Life Church, 11593 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561 on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 11 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior. Pastor Mike Cramer will officiate the services. Procession to Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens will immediately follow the services.
