Jack Reese

Jack Reese passed away peacefully Sunday, August 3, 2025 at the age of 88. He was born July 22, 1937 to Felix and Dora (Lowrey) Reese. He attended Howard Chapel School and Muskogee Schools. He worked at Muskogee Newspaper with his brother Johnny. Later he began working at Container Corporation where he was a machine operator and in shipping until he retired after 42 years.
He always had a love for country music. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with his brothers. They often traveled playing their music in the local area. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He would visit both his brothers and sister every day. In his younger years he enjoyed team roping and bull dogging. He enjoyed taking his daughter barrel racing and goat tying (at OJRA Rodeos). He was well known for his 4th of July family parties in Gooseneck Bend. It was always a good time! He had a love for horses, the outdoors, fishing (on the river), gardening and woodworking. He loved singing and cowboying!
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, his parents Felix and Dora Reese, his brothers, Fox Sanders, Johnny Reese and Don Allen (Maverick) Reese and sister Corina Wolfe, brother-in-law Joe Wolfe and son-in-law Bobby Kirk.
He is survived by daughters, Sherri Kirk, Kerri and JD Shelton, son Jacky and Yvonne Reese, stepchildren Brenda Aston, Bobby Revill and Roger Revill; grandchildren Austin Kirk, Kyle and Stephanie Shelton, Dustin and Lauren Kirk, Jack & Tori Reese, Danielle and Dalton Williams, Stephanie and Tyler Griffith and Josh & Amanda Reese; step-grandchildren Mindy & Bobby Frisbie, Larry Jr. and Sunnie Chesser, Amber Blanchet & Rich Blanchet. Great-grandchildren: Beckette Shelton, Koal Shelton, Londyn Kirk, Sage Shelton, Alauna Kirk, Levi Williams, Addie Reese, Harper Williams, Asher Griffith, Jett Reese, Rayven Reese, Jackson Reese, Maddux Griffith, Jaxon Griffith, Kaylee Tankersly, Dalton Tankersly, Jacy Tankersley, Harlie Chesser, Lexi Chesser, Jessye Holt, Whitley Bowden, Tristen Van Daly, Jack Van Daly and several nephews & nieces and other family members and special friend, Billie Sue Easterling.
