Chris Lee Condley, a man of strong faith, love, and wisdom, was called home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 1, 1950, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Chris was a man whose life was a testament to the values he held dear. He passed away peacefully in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family.
Chris was a cherished husband to his loving wife, Dana Condley. During their 52 years of marriage, they built a life filled with love and laughter, and were blessed with three children: Seth Condley and his wife Rachael, Sarah Milliken and her husband Cameron, and Matthew Condley and his wife Shanna. Chris's Legacy continued to flourish through his seven beloved grandchildren: Joye Condley, Griffin Condley, Graham Condley, Grady Condley, Tripp Milliken, Teagan Milliken, & Stella Condley, who will forever remember Papa's gentle guidance and unconditional love. Chris is also survived by his brother Gary Condley and his wife Kelly, and close family friend Aunt Debbie Borovetz. He was preceded in death by his parents Thurman and Jewell Condley.
Chris was a proud alumnus of Oklahoma State University. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance and Economics, which laid the foundation of his distinguished career in banking. Chris began his career as a teller at Citizens Bank, but was promoted quickly to vice president of Victor Savings and Loans. A short time later, he became Executive Vice President, and then Senior Vice President at First National Bank and Trust Company, where he worked for many years, until helping to establish Firstar Bank. He finished his career at Firstar, serving as CEO. Chris served as the President of YMCA and Finance Director at First Baptist Church. He was on the Board of Directors for Greater Muskogee Area Chamber of Commerce, Port of Muskogee, Salvation Army, United Way, Muskogee Regional Medical Center, First National Bank and Trust, and Firstar Bank. He also served on the Oklahoma Development Finance Authority and the Oklahoma Industrial Finance Authority. The Members are appointed for six-year terms by the governor and approved by the Senate. Chris served on both boards in all leadership roles including Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer. Chris loved doing his part to better Muskogee but above all, he was most proud of being the head of the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma.
Chris's faith in God was the foundation of his existence. He lived his life as a devout Christian, a member of First Baptist Church of Muskogee, embodied the love and grace of the teachings he held so close to his heart. His involvement in church and his unwavering belief in the power of Prayer were sources of inspiration to all who knew him.
An avid hunter, Lake Tenkiller enthusiast, and proud fan of the OSU Cowboys, Chris found joy in the camaraderie of these experiences which provided numerous memories over the years. Yet, it was his role as a family man that brought him the most joy. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, and his guidance and support for the strength upon which his family thrived.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Chris will remember him as a loving husband, a nurturing father and Papa, and a wise mentor. His faith filled life was a reflection of his unshakable belief in the goodness of God's plan. Chris's warm smile, kind heart, and generous Spirit left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
Chris Lee Condley's Journey on Earth may have concluded, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories he leaves behind. As we say goodbye to this remarkable man, we take great comfort that he has entered into Heaven, and we celebrate a life truly well lived. Chris's Legacy of love and faith will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched, and his wisdom will continue to guide us throughout eternity.
Chris had a great commitment to Oklahoma State University and higher education. It was his desire to support the future of finance and business majors.
