Jackie B. Odom, "Jack", a devoted husband, adored father, exceptional brother, and a beloved Papa passed away on April 18, 2025, while holding the hand of his loving wife, Sandy, at the age of 72. Jack was born April 11, 1953, in Brewton, Alabama to Jesse and Thelma Odom.
Jack was a devoted husband to his wife, Sandy, and a loving father to his four children. Jack proudly served in the United States Air Force for thirty-five years and retired honorably as a Chief Master Sergeant. He was a devoted man to God, his country, and his family. He didn't just preach the word of God but lived it. In 2005, Jack married the love of his life, Sandy, and gained an extended family that loved him unconditionally.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Thelma Odom.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Sandy, of twenty years; his brother, Eddy Odom (Sherrill); and his four adoring children: Josh Gumapak (Ashley), Justin Kumai, Paige Ward (Sonny) and Mo Miller (Krista); as well as, nine grandchildren: David Godwin (Jaden), Hunter Miller (Courtney), Shelby Miller-Poteet (Blade), Dixie Geralds, Kenny Geralds, Austin Byers, Kawika Batiste, Chaelynn Gumapak and Londyn Kumai-Knowles; and seven great grandchildren: Preslee, Jaxon, Joelee, Riplee, Huxlee, Finlee and Charlotte.
I know there's a god through who he is and how he lived as a man, husband, and father. Living proof of Ohana!! We love you dad! Josh & Justin
Jack was the most adored 'Papa" anyone could ask for and will be missed greatly. We Love You! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!
