Jacob Bowman Obituary
Born September 20, 1933, Jake joined the United States Air Force at age 17, where he proudly served his country for 23 years. After he retired from the Air Force, he continued to serve, working as a civilian for the Foreign Technology Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
Building was Jake's passion. Whether it was a house, an addition to a house or a doghouse for one of the kids, Jake never met a project too big or too small.
Jake, a member of the Glenrock Baptist Church, is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Lillys and their three daughters, Janice, Linda and Sandra; sisters, Kay and Pansy; son-in-law's, Bill, Tom and Andy; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
On June 29, 2024, the family will receive visitors at 10 AM, followed at 11AM by a memorial service with military honors at the Glenrock Baptist Church, 1815 N. Dobys Bridge Rd., Fort Mill, South Carolina 29715.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jake's honor to the Glenrock Baptist Church.
