Jacob Russell Warren, beloved father, grandfather, brother, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2025.
Lovingly known as Russell, he was born in Delaware on August 1st, 1957, and attended Caesar Rodney High School. He built a life centered on hard work, craftsmanship, and love, spending his career as a skilled locksmith and carpenter-professions that reflected his steady hands, problem-solving spirit, and dedication to helping others.
Russell was preceded in death by his father Robert David Warren Sr, his mother Mamie Warren, his wife Sheron Warren, his sister Shirley Warren, and his brother Steve Warren.
Though they are reunited now, he leaves behind a legacy that continues to shine brightly through those who loved him most.
He is survived by his devoted daughters, Cristy Warren and Brandy Warren; his cherished granddaughters, Miranda, Kayla, Liyah, Whitney and Aurora; and his adored great-grandchildren, Amani, Naveah, Anylah, Harmony, and Sariyah. Russell is also lovingly remembered by his brothers Robert Warren (Debra) and John Warren (Donna), his sister Louise Glanden (James), his sister-in-law Kay Warren (Steve), many nieces and nephews, and his lifelong friend, Boyd White.
A true Delawarean at heart, Jacob was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan who never missed a game and loved cheering on his teams with family. He found joy in the simple pleasures-spending time with loved ones, backyard BBQs, and celebrating holidays, especially Halloween, which was his favorite time of year. Russell's warmth, humor, and big-hearted nature made everyone feel welcome. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Russell's funeral will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 East Lebanon Road in Dover. The viewing will begin at 10:00 and will promptly be followed by the services at 11:00 and a celebration of life.
May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest in eternal peace.
